Developing brand partnerships and distribution opportunities in Guyana.

LloydSmith Guyana represents international brands and manufacturers in Guyana, through representation, distribution, brand licensing and joint ventures, under one accountable partner.

Our Focus

Your route into the Guyanese market.

Guyana is entering a period of sustained expansion. Expansion at that pace creates a specific requirement for the brands that want to sell here: representation, distribution and after-sales accountability that exist locally, under one partner answerable for all three. That is the work of LloydSmith Guyana.

  1. Brand representation

Representation of brands and manufacturers in Guyana without the cost of a local office: market development, customer relationships and after-sales accountability, carried under the principal’s name and standards.

  2. Distribution

A product is worth very little if it is three weeks away. Import, storage and delivery are arranged end to end, so that it reaches the customer in the condition, and on the timeline, the principal expects at home.

  3. Brand licensing

Licensing of brands, products and formats to local production and retail partners, with the principal’s standards written into the agreement.

  4. Joint ventures

A structured stake in a Guyanese operating company: the partner brings the product and the expertise; LloydSmith brings the market, the relationships and the accountability.

  5. Equipment supply

Equipment lines for the sectors driving Guyana’s growth, sourced from manufacturers and supported after delivery. Equipment fails on a schedule that has no regard for shipping times, so support is built in from the first delivery.

Partnerships

Two ways to work with LloydSmith.

Serious partnerships build lasting businesses. LloydSmith Guyana welcomes enquiries from brands, manufacturers, distributors and operators seeking a presence in Guyana. Each enquiry is reviewed directly and answered in person.

For brands and manufacturers

Brands and manufacturers seeking representation, distribution, licensed production or a joint venture in Guyana are invited to set out what they make and where it is sold today. LloydSmith responds with a view of the market, the appropriate structure and the next step.

The accountable partner: representation, distribution, licensing and joint ventures under one roof.

The Guyanese market

Businesses and customers that want products, equipment and suppliers properly represented in the country.

About

A family with a long history in Guyana.

LloydSmith has family roots in nineteenth-century Guyana. Successive generations became established across Georgetown and Essequibo, building businesses, entering the professions and serving public institutions, and that heritage is carried forward today under the LloydSmith name.

LloydSmith Guyana is the newest chapter in that history. The company is modern; the standard it works to was set over generations: enterprise of substance, relationships built over time, and a responsibility to contribute meaningfully to Guyana. We enter agreements we intend to still be in a decade from now.
